Using the Billie Eilish song “What Was I Made For” I wanted to capture the emotion that is rooted within it. Created for the Barbie movie, girlhood and what it’s like to be a woman was a strong theme. Straying away from my typical style, I wanted to show the reconnection with one's inner child by using videos of myself when I was a kid.

As children, we don’t have the pressures and self-doubt that we develop later in life. We would create art without thinking and take the world on without questioning who we are. I wanted to show that we should remember who that kid was and connect with them.

I decided to end the video with a black screen to give the viewer a chance to see themselves. When watching on a computer or phone, the glossy screen allows you to see your reflection. Because the videos were of me as a kid this was a way for me to subtly include the viewer.
